Athlone Library invites you to take part in a unique storytelling project for Heritage Week.
We’re seeking 10 original diary‑style entries imagining what the 1691 Siege of Athlone would look like if it unfolded in today’s world...
You can choose to tell the story of the siege from the point of view of the Jacobites or Williamites.
Drop your entry into Athlone Library before the competition deadline and the best entries will be illustrated and showcased in Athlone Library throughout Heritage Week.
Submission deadline: July 18th
For ages 8-13 years of age.
